3 Now Peter and John (disciples) were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour (3 pm).  2 And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms (money) of those entering the temple. 3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms(money). 4 And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” 5 And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have, I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” 7 And he (Peter) took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. 8 And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

10 So the Jews said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and it is not lawful for you to take up your bed.” 11 But he answered them, “The man who healed me, that man said to me, ‘Take up your bed, and walk.’” 12 They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?” 13 Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the place. 

14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. 16 And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”

17 As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. 18 At the end of the time, when the king had commanded that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar (king) 19 And the king spoke with them, and among all of them none was found like Daniel, Shadrach(Shadrach), Mishael (Meshach), and Azariah (Abednego). Therefore, they stood before the king. 20 And in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters that were in all his kingdom. 21 And Daniel was there until the first year of King Cyrus.

A Little Change

As school starts, I want to change or decorate a room in my house. This week I want to change my master bathroom. I start with a picture and decide which size will fit my wall. I head to Hobby Lobby to shop for the right wall picture. If you know me, I might browse a little longer when it’s 100 degrees outside. The picture has the right colors and Hobby Lobby has towels too. I then go to Walmart to find wooden vanity trays and a toothbrush holder to match. I use the trays for jewelry and perfume. Are you tired of towels on the shower rods? Get towel hooks. I like Znem Suction Cup Hooks from Amazon. They can go anywhere and it gives me a luxurious space.
